Creative Movement Ages 3-4

Students will be introduced to beginning ballet movements and tap sounds. Emphasis is placed on basic motor development, rhythm, and creative expression. Our dancers will learn in a playful, imaginative and non-competitive environment.

Attire: Class leotard from IDA Retail room, tan Capezio tights, tan Capezio tap shoes, pink Bloch ballet shoes. Hair must be neatly pulled back.

Creative Dance Ages 4-5

Class focuses on beginning ballet with emphasis placed on flexibility, strengthening exercises and ballet vocabulary. Introduction of tap technique and memorization. Students will develop an appreciation of dance in a non-competitive environment while building self-esteem.

Creative Combo Ages 5-7

Class focuses on building upon basic tap fundamentals and increasing speed. A continuation of ballet technique is taught adding terminology, stretching and movements. Jazz technique is also introduced with basic jazz steps and combinations.

Attire: Class leotard from IDA Retail room, tan Capezio tights, tan Capezio tap shoes, pink Bloch ballet shoes, tan Capezio split-sole jazz shoe. Hair must be neatly pulled back.



Combo Tap/Jazz Ages 6-8
Classes focuses on introduction of basic tap technique and terminology. Jazz techniques is also introduced with basic jazz steps and combinations. A PERFECT combination class for the student who is not interested in Ballet (i.e. Creative Combo).

Just Us Guys Ages 3-6

Class introduces a combination of tap technique and conditioning geared for boys only. Emphasis is placed on beginning tap technique, basic dance movements and flexibility.

Attire: T-shirt, solid colored basketball shorts or black pants, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes.
