Since then, Ms. Western has been awarded special recognition for her choreography both for style and entertainment at dance conventions and competitions around Indiana and the nation.

I was born in San Diego, CA. When I was 6 years old, my family moved to West Michigan where I grew up and then attended Michigan State University. I graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Arts. As a child, I always loved performing and found ballet a natural fit. I was a dancer for 8 years and studied the Cecchitti Method of Ballet. Even though I stopped dancing in High School, ballet and the arts have always remained a passion.
I moved to Indianapolis after college and have made this my home for the last 18 years. In that time, my career has focused on sales/marketing in the technology arena. I consider myself to be a “people person” and have always enjoyed the interaction that sales has brought to my life.
I have 3 children. My two daughters also share my passion for performing and study ballet and modern dance. My eldest daughter is involved in cheerleading and I have coached her squad for the last two years. Another passion of mine is Power yoga. I have been practicing for over 2½ years and decided to become a certified instructor a little over a year ago. Although Power yoga is not a “performing art,” I was instantly drawn to it because of its beautiful blend of dance and athleticism.
I am thrilled to be a part of Indy Dance Academy! I look forward to meeting and getting to know each and everyone of you. A new and exciting journey begins...
